The Terms and Conditions set out below, as well as related documents referred to in this document, set out important information about us, the Company (Dineindulge Limited, trading as Meals), and the legal terms and conditions on which we sell our services to you, the Customer, via the website www.meals.co.uk.
These Terms and Conditions apply to any service provided by the Company to the Customer on initial engagement and after signing up (“Contract”). It is a requirement of the Customer to read and acknowledge these terms. By confirming your order, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and the other guidance and documentation expressly referred to in them.
1. Definitions
- “We”, “the Company” means Meals (the trading arm of Dineindulge Ltd) whose registered office is The Dutch Barn, Bremhill Grove Farm, East Tytherton, Chippenham, SN15 4LX.
- “You”, “the Customer” means a business or consumer whose order for services is accepted by the Company.
- “Conditions” means these standard Terms and Conditions for the sale and supply of services.
- “Contract” means the agreement between the Company and the Customer for the sale and supply of services once the Customer has signed up.
- “Request” means an expression of interest by the Customer providing information to enable the Company to assess service viability and availability.
- “Sign Up” means the Customer has provided all required information and paid the sign-up fee.
- “Group” means all members of any group participating in a Meals order.
- “Users” means all individuals in the order that make up the Group.
- “Customer Account” means the account created by the Customer to manage services.
- “Lead Customer” means the person making the booking on behalf of a group and acting as our point of contact.
- “Arrangements” means the meals, activities, facilities and services booked through us by you under this Agreement.
- “Services” means the services the Company supplies in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
- “Order” means the periodic service provided on each occasion by the Company to the Customer.
- “Customer Residence” means the location where the service is to be completed.
- “Product” means the meal items prepared (cooked where necessary), boxed, labelled and left for Customer consumption.
- “Chef Supplier” means the person(s) providing services on behalf of the Company.
- “Start Time” means the time indicated on your order when the service is due to commence and the Chef Supplier arrives on-site.
2. Complete Agreement
- These Conditions govern the Contract to the exclusion of any other terms, unless agreed in writing by the Company.
- No representative of the Company has authority to vary these Terms unless confirmed in writing by an authorised Company representative.
- Any error or omission in sales literature, invoices or other documentation shall be corrected without liability.
3. Contract
- An Order is not accepted until confirmed by the Company in writing or by commencement of service.
- The order confirmation process comprises three stages:
- Submission of a Request (summary emailed to Customer).
- Creation of an Account and entry of payment details.
- Confirmation of Request and Service Start Date by the Company.
- Customers must not presume service delivery until confirmation is received.
- Customers are responsible for accuracy of Orders, including:
- Confirming service address, start date and times at least 7 days before first service.
- Confirming dietary requirements, user numbers and menu choices at least 2 days before service.
- Providing required kitchen facilities (working oven/hob, running water, utensils, cleaning products, adequate fridge space).
- If facilities are not provided or unsafe, the Chef Supplier may suspend service and the Customer will remain liable for full payment.
- Customers must provide safe and timely access for the Chef Supplier. Delays may result in reduced service with no refund.
- The Lead Customer is responsible for communications and authorisations on behalf of the Group.
- We reserve the right to decline any Order for any reason.
4. Product
- Product images are for illustration only. Final products may vary depending on dietary requirements, portion size and ingredient availability.
- Packaging may differ from website images but will not affect portioning.
- We may substitute products where necessary, ensuring compliance with allergens and dietary requirements.
- Customers must not consume a Product if unfit for consumption and must contact us immediately.
- The Company accepts no liability for faulty or inadequate Customer equipment.
5. Food, Customer and Supplier Safety
- Information on dishes (ingredients, nutritional info, allergens) is provided via the Customer Account. - All Chef Suppliers hold at least Food Hygiene Level 2 and a basic DBS certificate.
- Customers must ensure:
- Fridges are functional and set between 5-8°C.
- Clear, safe access and working environment (no pets or children in the kitchen).
- Adequate parking and welfare facilities for the Chef Supplier.
6. Allergies and Dietary Requirements
- Customers must notify the Company of all allergens in writing.
- While every effort is made to avoid cross-contamination, traces cannot be guaranteed.
- Customers must ensure preparation areas are free of contamination before the Chef Supplier's arrival.
7. Price
- The Order price consists of:
- Cost of Service (chef hours).
- Cost of Ingredients (estimated, later adjusted against receipts).
- Management fee where relevant on managed package.
- Prices may change before confirmation. Once confirmed, prices remain fixed except where changes to Order are made by the Customer.
- All prices are quoted in pounds sterling. Our services are exempt from VAT, and no VAT will be added to the prices shown.
8. Payments
- Payment is due in full at least 2 days prior to service.
- Late or non-payment entitles the Company to cancel or suspend services.
9. Cancellations
- Customers may cancel Orders at any time.
- Cancellations within 2 days of an Order Date are non-refundable.
- Credits are non-refundable but may be used for future services.
- Accounts may be paused for up to 6 months. After this, credits expire.
10. Risk
- The Company is not liable for loss or damage to Customer property during service.
- The Company may withdraw service immediately if unsafe conditions exist; all fees remain payable.
11. Indemnity
The Customer shall indemnify the Company against all costs, losses or damages arising from breach or negligence.
12. Intellectual Property
All copyright in work produced remains with the Company. The Customer may not reproduce or exploit without consent.
13. Force Majeure
- The Company shall not be liable for delays caused by events beyond its control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, war, terrorism, epidemics, transport failure, or government restrictions.
- Services will be suspended during Force Majeure and resumed once possible.
14. Changes and Cancellations by the Company
- We may make changes or cancellations where necessary. Significant changes will be notified promptly.
- If rescheduled service is accepted by the Customer, no compensation will be due.
- No refunds will be given where changes arise due to Force Majeure.
15. Our Liability
- We take reasonable care in sourcing Chef Suppliers but are not liable for their acts or omissions.
- We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the value of the booking.
16. Insurance
- The Company holds public liability and employer's insurance.
- Customers must ensure they hold adequate insurance for activities at their residence.
17. Customer Conduct
- We may terminate service if behaviour causes danger, damage or distress.
- Unsafe conditions (faulty equipment, lack of fridge space, unsafe environment) may lead to suspension with no refund.
18. Complaints Procedure
- Complaints must be raised within 5 days of service.
- Product complaints must be raised immediately.
- No refunds will be issued where storage/consumption guidance has not been followed.
19. Gift Vouchers & Credits
- Promotional credits expire after 1 year; purchased vouchers expire after 2 years.
- Credits are void if an account is cancelled.
20. Rights of Third Parties
This Agreement does not confer rights on third parties under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
21. Privacy Policy
- We do not store card details or share personal information with third parties.
- Customers may request access, correction, deletion or transfer of their data at any time.

22. General
- No waiver of breach shall be deemed a waiver of future breaches.
- We reserve the right to amend these Conditions at any time.
- These Conditions are governed by English law.
23. Law and Jurisdiction
This Agreement shall be governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
24. Client Food Disclaimer
- Our standard policy requires our chef to refrigerate food items on your premises to ensure optimal safety and quality, with the exception of items best kept at room temperature.
- If you request that food be left unattended or if you are not present to receive the delivery personally, Dineindulge Meals cannot guarantee the safety or quality of the food products.
- By choosing to have food left unattended, you acknowledge and accept full responsibility for the proper storage and handling of the food items.
- We recommend that you provide a 'safe place' with a secure chiller box with lid in which the chef can leave the products, to avoid contamination and keep items chilled until they are moved into refrigeration.
- Dineindulge Meals relinquishes all responsibility for food quality, safety, or any health issues that may arise from improper storage of food left at your request.
- We recommend consuming or properly refrigerating all food items as soon as possible after delivery for the best experience and food safety.
